Current Media Habits

My Current media habits, are not very deep. But I do indulge in the media very deep. I read the Washington Post. While I am reading the Post, I am mainly in the Sports section or every now and again I take a peek inside the Entertainment section. I also pretty much live on ESPN. Nine times out of ten my television is on ESPN and thats all that really interest me, I know that’s not the best route to go but I like sports, what can I say. But my habits have improved a lot, considering I did not used to read anything about the news but now before I look at the Sports page I might take a glance at a headline or two. I personally am biased to news dealing with my area. I understand a lot goes on in the world outside of where I live but the news directly in my back yard effects me. I envision my media habits getting a lot more serious as I grow but as for right now I am pretty satisfied reading my sports section. I should probably stop wasting newspapers and just check it out online, I am probably wasting a lot of newspapers so ill work on it.

I have to agree with you on only really focusing on the local news stories over the national news. Thats one thing I hope to change as well. I guess I have always felt like if it wasent local it probably wouldnt affect me as much.

I agree with what you said about how hopefully your media habits will get more serious and grow with you as time goes on. I am the same way as you are in regards to my media habits except instead of solely sports I also have to get my share of entertainment news and gossip in. I hope by the time I am an adult I will be able to say that I read the newspaper daily and that I watch something besides MTV and ESPN.
